possible for more boys and girls to attend school, we help children protect

communities and health workers in homes, clinics and hospitals to promote basic
health in order to save lives of children and mothers
Job Description:
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
§ Community
Mobilization assistant is responsible for organizing, motivating and mobilizing
target beneficiaries in support of all activities planned under Save the
Children’s DANIDA project for improvement of returnees’ reintegration through
livelihood and child protection interventions.
§ Collaborate with
Project Coordinator, Livelihood officers, Livelihood Assistants, and MEAL staff
to design successful community mobilization strategy.
§ In support from
other project staff, support project location and project beneficiaries
targeting strategy and criteria.
§ Lead
community-based mobilization and sensitization meetings and with support from
other project staff introduce the project activities to respective community
members and project beneficiaries.
§ Take part in the
process of beneficiary identification and registration.
§ Conduct training needs
assessment with beneficiaries and support in finalizing the training courses
(mainly entreprenurship) based on the result of needs assessment, and support
implementation of training courses for livelihood beneficiaries.
§ Support in
implementation of capacity building training courses that will take place with
participation of livelihoods and child protection beneficiaries.
§ Support in
establishment of child friendly spaces.
§ Support the child
protection staff and community based committees in case management under the
child protection component of the project.
§ Support
implementation of project baseline, mid-term, and final evaluation.
§ Develop project
weekly narrative reports and submit them to Livelihood Project Coordinator
timely.
§ Assist joint
monitoring visits with the government officials (Provincial/district relevant
authorities) to the project sites.
§ Support Save the
Children’s MEAL staff in establishing quality project documentation and filing
system.
Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning
§ Prepare and
implement action plan for quality monitoring
§ Mobilizing and
Making communities aware on project objectives, outputs and activities and MEAL
systems and SCI Child Safeguarding Policies.
§ Facilitate project
and activities information at all events such as training and workshops

Job Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
University degree in development studies, social science, or
any other relevant technical credential
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Essential
§ Previous community
mobilization experience and knowledge
§ Familiarity with
livelihood programming for returnees and IDPs
§ Maturity and
confidence in dealing with the staff of government institutions, and
communities.
§ Excellent
communication (both oral and written) in local languages, people skill for
conflict resolution and negotiation;
